Launched on July 23, 2026, the Syros EV is Kia's second mass-market electric vehicle in India and by far its most affordable — a direct electric version of the boxy, feature-loaded Syros compact SUV, built on Kia's reinforced K1 platform.

Two battery options are on offer: a 42kWh pack good for a claimed 443km range (135hp/255Nm), and a larger 51.4kWh Extended Range pack pushing that to a segment-leading 526km — the first car in its class to cross the 500km mark — with a stronger 171hp motor and a claimed 8.1 second 0-100kmph time.

Every Syros EV comes with a 15-year, unlimited-kilometre high-voltage battery warranty, and Kia is offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option that separates the car and battery cost — ownership starts at ₹7.99 lakh with battery usage billed at ₹3.3/km, alongside an assured buyback programme offering up to 80% resale value after three years.
