Renault Duster Overview

The Renault Duster returned to India in March 2026 after being discontinued in 2022 — an entirely new 3rd-generation model built on Renault's new RGMP platform, not a mild refresh of the old car. It's also the first Renault sold in India with Level 2 ADAS.

Two turbo-petrol engines are offered at launch: a 1.0-litre (100 hp, manual only) and a larger 1.3-litre (163 hp, manual or 6-speed DCT automatic). A 1.8-litre strong-hybrid version combining a petrol engine with two electric motors is expected to join the range around Diwali 2026.

The new Duster secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating in April 2026, a meaningful step up in credibility for the nameplate, alongside a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a 10.1-inch touchscreen — features the old Duster never had.
