India's internet car — large screen, large cabin and connected car experience
The MG Hector was a landmark when it launched in India — the first car with a large portrait touchscreen, earning it the 'internet car' moniker. The 2026 facelift sharpens the design with a new Aura Hex grille and adds i-Swipe gesture controls to its now-14-inch HD screen.
Available in 5-seat and 7-seat configurations (Hector Plus for 7 seats), the current facelift runs on a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine only — MG has signalled a diesel option is coming, but it hasn't launched yet. The cabin remains genuinely spacious with a strong feature-to-price ratio.
MG's rapid growth in India has been supported by strong initial pricing and feature-loading, building a dedicated buyer base looking for value in a large-bodied SUV.
Tap any variant to see exactly what's included and what's missing. Covers both the 5-seat Hector and the 7-seat Hector Plus. Currently petrol-only — MG's diesel engine has not launched yet as of this update, despite earlier expectations.
